　　《The Day Of The Triffids》这本科幻小说在国内有许多种译名。可不管它叫什么名字，略有资历的科幻读者肯定读过，因为它是较早引入我国并译成中文的科幻小说之一。该小说由科幻作家John Wyndham创作，最早发表于1951年，是灾难类科幻作品的代表作之一。上世纪80年代，BBC曾将其搬上电视银屏，在观众中的反响不错。如今时隔20多年，BBC再次将其改编成两集迷你剧，并将于12月28日、29日播出。新版《三脚树时代》由Dougray Scott、Joely Richardson、Brian Cox、Vanessa Redgrave、Eddie Izzard和Jason Priestley主演。

　　在梅林（科林·摩根 Colin Morgan 饰）成为了降龙者的一年后，乌瑟派遣亚瑟率领军队搜寻莫根娜的下落，而把莫根娜带回了卡美洛王国。而此时的莫根娜已不再是从前的莫根娜了，她如今已是安插在卡美洛王国内的奸细，企图削弱卡美洛王国的核心势力及杀死乌瑟。莫根娜邪恶的计划屡次被梅林阻止，而在无形中成为了梅林的对手。再一次偶然的事故中得知了她其实是乌瑟的亲生女儿，有权推翻乌瑟及亚瑟来继承卡美洛王国的王位，在姐姐莫高斯的帮助下，莫根娜利用各种手段企图陷害亚瑟等人，而亚瑟的未来以及王国的未来将陷入水深火热之中……

　　这一次，袭击将在纽约展开。经过第七季的努力，杰克（基弗·萨瑟兰 Kiefer Sutherland 饰）终于获得了总统的赦免，现在一身轻松的与女儿和孙女过着简单、轻松的幸福生活。可是这样的生活却没有持续多久，一名雇佣兵找上门来，希望杰克能回到重新组建的CTU，帮忙调查一场即将展开的恐怖阴谋。原来，一个中东国家的总统打算和泰勒总统签署一项联合声明，但是中东国家的反对派却极力想组织这次联合声明的签署，所以想刺杀这位总统。杰克不得不接受了这次任务，同时克洛伊（玛丽·莱恩·莱杰斯库 Mary Lynn Rajskub 饰）也被临时召集回来帮助杰克进行数据分析，但是已经身为人母，所以克洛伊无法集中精力全心帮助杰克，而杰克还要带着没有什么处理恐怖袭击经验的新人一同调查。面对全新的CTU，已经陌生的环境下，杰克还能顺利阻止袭击吗？

　　一部极具争议性的连续剧，打破了传统警匪片套路，刻画了性格复杂的警察，他们在与各种罪案做斗争的同时，也面临各种自身问题的困扰，彻底打破了“警察就是好人”这种简单的界定。忠诚耿直，嫉恶如仇的维克与妻子分居，所以非常宠爱三个孩子；办案时他只遵循自己的一套方法。他的手段虽然有效，却没有得到其他同事的支持，曾是他亲密搭档的夏恩，成长为一名思想和行为相对独立的探员。以前曾是Strike组成员的柯蒂斯也看不惯他粗野的办案方式。但是在家庭暴力科工作的莫妮卡-罗琳，重返Farminghton后大胆启用维克，不但在警察与社区间、警察与黑帮间，甚至在警察内部引发了极大争议。

　　英国BBC最新电视剧《尘归尘》是《火星生活》的衍生剧。
　　英国电视剧《Life on Mars》(火星生活) 曾获英国电视学院奖及国际艾美奖，ABC已在翻拍美版。这部剧集科幻(尤其是时间旅行)题材与警匪片于一身，说的是曼城的一个警探山姆-泰勒，在办案中被车撞倒在地，从昏迷中醒来后发现自己回到了1973年，成为警探吉恩-亨特的下属。很容易想像成《回到未来》那样的喜剧片，第一季刚开始的时候确实有吉恩和山姆鸡同鸭讲而闹出的笑话，但很快转而描述他们之间的冲突，山姆崇尚21世纪的办案方式；而吉恩作为一个70年代的警探经常是把认定有罪的嫌疑人先抓起来打一顿再说。此外，现在最爱热议的问题是山姆的来历，他到底是真的穿越回到过去？还是说，一切不过是他车祸昏迷中做的梦？亦或是他根本就是1973年的一名精神病人？
　　现在BBC出品的新剧《Ashes to Ashes》，讲的则是8年后(1981年)吉恩-亨特的故事。Gene Hunt警探再次归来，但他不再是那个自我风格的曼彻斯特治安官，坦白地说由于他可靠的伙伴...
